I’m dying.

Dying for Everly.

I’m pretty sure I’ve never been this hot for a woman, and believe me, I like women. Something about her just gets to me. I don’t know if it’s her smile, her sexy body, her scent…or her smart mouth. Maybe it’s the way she laughed and cheered during the game, grabbing my arm when the Cougars sank a basket. Maybe it’s the way she looked at me when I acted like a goof, laughing with me, not at me. I can tell the difference.

I could spend all night sparring with her, but right now I’m desperate to get my hands on her. And my mouth…

I make the short drive to my place as if I’m a NASCAR driver, zipping into my garage and throwing the SUV into park. I lead the way into my condo, flicking on lights as we go.

“Here we are again,” she murmurs in my kitchen. “I remember this place.”

“That’s good. You were pretty hungover.” I frown. I’ve been keeping an eye on how much she drinks and fortunately there haven’t been any more drunken incidents. Maybe I was wrong…maybe she doesn’t have a drinking problem.

“I was.” She sighs. “But you looked after me.”

“Why do you sound surprised by that?”

“I was surprised.” She trails her fingertips down my chest. “You seemed like such a player…when I woke up in your bed, I wasn’t sure what had happened.”

I grab her hand and curl my fingers around it. “I would never do anything without your consent. I hope you know that.” I meet her eyes directly.

The moment stretches out, full of thickening tension.

She nods. “I know that. You proved it that night.”

My chest is full, heat expanding inside me. “Like I told your dad, I’m a good guy.”

Her smile is wonderful. “Actually, you are.”

“Again with the surprise! Jesus.” I’m teasing. Sort of. I don’t like it that she thought I was an asshole. But then again, I know I have been an asshole to her—baiting her, arguing with her, flirting with her.

She laughs softly, her fingers now sliding back up my chest to my face. “I just needed to get to know you better.”

“You’re about to get to know me very well.” I pull her up against me and bend my head to kiss her.

Soft, warm lips meet mine. She makes a little sound and opens to me and I go in deeper, licking into her mouth. Her arms wind around my neck as she presses herself against me. Lust pulses in my balls, my cock thickening.

I slide my hands down to her ass, firm and round in her snug jeans, urging her even closer…into my aching groin. My eager dick loves it and wants more…

“You taste amazing.” I kiss her cheek, then her jaw. “You feel amazing.”
